My favorite places to eat when traveling are the ones recommended from people I trust their opinion. So, in case you trust my taste in food, here is my list of must try food spots in Rome:

Where: Via del Monte della Farina, 28,
Looking for: Pizza (quick lunch or take away)
Go to: Romana Pizzaria
Where: Via del Governo Vecchio, 10,
Looking for: Pasta
Go to: Tonnarelo (best pasta carbonara), Trattoria Carlo Menta (order “Tagliolini allo sgoclio” - special pasta with sea food, if you don’t like shrimp don’t go there, nothing else in the menu is good, even though everything is 2- 5 Euro it’s not worth it)
Where: Via della Lungaretta, 101,
Looking for: Cappuccino
Go to: Hotel de Russie (gorgeous gardens with an amazing atmosphere and they will bring delicious cookies with your cappuccino)
Where: Via del Babuino, 9
Looking for: Tiramisu
Go to: Pompi Tiramisu, located right next to the Spanish Steps
Where: Via della Croce, 82,
Looking for: Gelato
Go to: Grom (get pistachio flavor), Venchi, Lindt
Where: The three galaterias have multiple locations in Rome. I went to the ones near some of the main tourist attractions. There is Grom at the end of the street straight up from the Pantheon along with Lindt. Venchi you can find on your way from the Pantheon to the Trevi Fountain.
