Of course I knew there was a chance to rain the whole weekend we were there but I still decided we should go.
I remember my reaction couple years ago when it happened we traveled to a beautiful place and it was raining the whole trip. Then I got really annoyed and negative and literally ruined our vacation. And that was every time when we go somewhere and the weather wasn't as good as expected. But then I guess I grew up and learned that even though the weather plays really important role in how your trip is gonna go that doesn’t mean that bad weather = bad trip.
And now I somehow even found Brussels really charming being wet and kinda cold. Then when there was a little sunshine coming through the clouds I felt good, grateful and happy.
So, here is what we got to see and do:
Since our AirBnb was centrally located, within 10 min walking distance from the main tourist attractions, we started with the Manneken Pis, then we made our way up through the Old Town streets to the Grand Place.
Day 2 we headed different direction as we wanted to visit the European Parliament which was the opposite way of the Old Town of Brussels.
* Liege style Belgian waffles, also called Street Waffles.
Our last day we had just enough time to eat some more Belgian waffles and visit the Atomuim, before catching our flight at 5pm.
P.S Liege style Belgian waffles are the best waffles I have ever tried, they are made with yeast-leavened dough, instead of batter, mixed with pearl sugar. They are richer, puffier, and chewier than the Brussels style, no topping necessary. In contrast, Brussels style Belgian waffles are made with yeast-leavened batter and are very crisp and light.
P.S I would go to Liege just for some authentic Liege style waffles.. these chewy and puffy waffles with caramelized bits of sugar are just a dream!

P.S As It was raining a lot, we did some indoor stuff too.. (posted it so my post is not too boring HAHA)
